Canadian Mental Health Association-Simcoe Region
Our Mission: To provide integrated mental health and addiction services to individuals and families using a recovery approach that respects individual uniqueness and choice.
The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Simcoe County Branch is a non-profit charitable organization governed by a community Board of Directors. The Simcoe County Branch was established in 1960 by a group of citizens concerned about the lack of services and support for individuals experiencing mental health difficulties. These initial efforts charted a course that has led CMHA Simcoe to be a recognized leader in providing community based mental health and addiction services, education, awareness and advocacy for individuals experiencing mental health and/or addictions, their families, and the general public.
In the last year our branch provided service to over 10,000 individuals in our community, and our 24 hour, 7 day a week crisis line responded to the needs of 17,857 calls. Over the past 50 years our services have expanded from their origins in Barrie to cover the Innisfil, Collingwood, Orillia, and Midland areas. These services include our Crisis Line, Mobile Crisis Response and Crisis Beds, Addiction Counselling, Youth Counselling, Peer Support Clubhouse, Regional Human Service Justice System Team, Housing supports, Assertive Community Treatment Teams, Family Services, Intensive Case Management, Volunteer Services, Early Psychosis Intervention and Community Education and Awareness.
We are excited that your purchase of this coupon book will provide much needed funds to support the unique needs of the individuals that utilize our services, while also presenting you a wide variety of opportunities to save on restaurants, services and activities right here in our community. Thank you for your purchasing the FunClips book and for supporting mental health and addictions services in your community.
